The HBU3 Round High Bay fixture is efficient, durable and designed to withstand harsh conditions with its remarkable heat dissipation, dust-tight body and resistance to water. HBU3 is wattage and color tunable, and can be programmed with a CCT of 4000K or 5000K, giving you the freedom to choose the mood of your lighting. Premium quality provides excellent solution for high-ceiling mount applications, especially in warehouse, storage, gymnasiums, retail spaces and convention centers.
UFO High Bay LED Lighting
UFO high bays (also called round high bays) are used primarily in applications such as warehouses, gyms, factories, airports, and garages. In the past, metal halide bulbs were used in a circular fixture with a reflective cover to shine the light down onto the space below. Fast forward to the 21st century and LED lighting fixtures are completely changing the lighting landscape with higher lumen output (brightness), lower wattages to save energy and money, and reduce overall burn out maintenance caused by the shorter lifespans of older technology. LED UFO high bays have become the “go-to” choice for builders, contractors, electricians, and project managers because of these plentiful upsides.
When retrofitting older fixtures with UFO LEDs, it’s important to understand equivalency. Many of the old metal halide bulbs/fixtures will consume a much higher amount of energy due to higher wattages needed to create the brightness required for the application. For example, a 300W HID should be replaced by a high output 100W or 150W UFO high bay. Another consideration is the light given versus the ceiling height. Many older applications do not have suitable light in the first place due to poor design or incorrect product specifications. Our recommendations for lighting are fairly simple. For every 10ft of ceiling height, it should be matched by a UFO LED in 10,000 lumens. As an example, if a ceiling height is 30ft high, we would suggest using a fixture that outputs about 30,000 lumens. In this case, a 30,000-lumen fixture would be our 200W UFO LED high bay. A ceiling of 20ft. would lead you to our 150W LED with an output range of about 22,000 lumens or so. For extremely brightly lit applications, some customers are happy with using a 200W in a 20ft. setting (extremely bright).
Here is an easy wattage conversion list to make the shopping experience a little easier.
- 100W LED UFO will replace a 400W metal halide (HID)
- 150W LED UFO will replace a 500-600W metal halide (HID)
- 200W LED UFO will replace an 800W metal halide (HID)
- 240W-300W LED UFO will replace a 1000W metal halide (HID)

Super bright, fits your need
This light is even better than I expected! It is extremely bright, yet comfortable to the eye, and it saves you a significant amount of money on your electric bill.

Good value
It’s extremely bright. Good products will be great as long as they last. It’s simple to put together and produces a lot of light. My shelter is 60’x60′ with a center height of 18′. I purchased four 240w lights, and they are excellent.

Great lighting easy install
I couldn’t get one of the lights to work, so I returned it for a replacement. However, my replacement scanning code wouldn’t work, so I had to print a return label from one of the other three lights I purchased. These lights have made me very happy. They’re very bright and simple to connect. There was only one issue, and it was quickly resolved, so five stars here.

JUST INSTALLED BUT SEEMS GREAT
These lights are super bright. I bought eight of them for a 30 x 40 workshop, and they are brighter than daylight. I have them on two switches, four on one and four on the other, and I’m glad I did it that way because of how bright they are.

Super bright and easy install
This is a dazzling light! It’s simple to set up and use, and it works flawlessly. I’ve been using it for a few months now with no problems. The 16-foot ceiling and 30-foot span 2 were ideal.

These are bright! Swapped out fluorescent for these, different colors but way bright!
The lighting is fantastic. Lightweight and simple to work with. Easy to set up and much brighter than our previous lights, which took ten minutes to turn on! Others have molded plugs attached to them.

I’ll be purchasing more tonight
I ordered two to see if they would meet my lighting requirements. I originally estimated that I’d need 12 for my 40×104 barn. However, after installing two, I’m confident that eight will provide ample illumination. Because this will be a gym for my kids, I like the safety cable that comes with it. The lights appear to be extremely well-made and extremely bright. They may be too bright if you have low ceilings. I’m hanging them at a height of 16 feet, and they’re quite intense. At that height, each light appears to directly light a 30×30 space.

Good value, nice and bright but how long will they last
It’s convenient that the lights come with a safety cable and a carbine clip. I slipped a short piece of chain over the purling and hooked the carbine to it because they were too short for my application. Now it’s just a matter of seeing how long they’ll last. If the lights last five years, I’ll be surprised. My entire house is LED, and I’ve had several failures in the last two to three years. Two of the four metal halite bulbs I installed 12 years ago were originals.

Bright lights
I have a 72×66 barn and was thinking of getting six lights for it. I just bought two of the 240 watt lights to see how they work. I was so taken aback by the amount of light produced that I only bought two more. Since then, I’ve only bought one for my 30×36 hay barn, and it’s plenty for the job.
I connected all of the electrical outlets to a single switch and simply plugged the lights in. I’m hoping they’ll be around for a long time.

Wow, just wow! I’ll admit it.
I was skeptical that such a small fixture could provide such a large amount of light. These things, on the other hand, are incredible! In my 20 x 60 shop with 14′ ceilings, I used six of them and they provided an impressive amount of light. The quality of the lights also impressed me; they’re very sturdy and have high-quality hardware. The safety leash is a nice addition as well. They aren’t cheap, but when you compare lumens per fixture, they are less expensive than traditional fluorescent strip lights or their LED counterparts.

Easy to install and works great
This product is well-made and performs admirably. Our barn is 40′ x 50′ in size. Along the long length, we hung four on each side. In the J-boxes, we ran conduit and installed single receptacles. These plug-ins worked perfectly. They were hung from a steel beam. We drilled holes in the wall and installed an eye-bolt. We then used a double length of 200 pound chain to hook onto the fixture, with a carbine securing the chain to the eye-bolt. The safety cable was also attached to the eye-bolt. The redundant hang is required by the code. From a distance of 15 feet, the light is bright and well diffused. I’m hoping they’ll last quite a while. Overall, it’s a good deal.

Quality, bright and great
The lumens rating is nearly twice as bright, and the instant on feature of LEDs is extremely convenient. When you turned on the old lights, you could hear the inrush current (the transformer). These lights don’t have any of that, so you might think you can turn them off if you’re only going to be gone for a 30 minute lunch break. I don’t know how long they’ll last because I’ve only had them for a month. But I liked them so much that I bought three of them, giving my entire shop a new look. You won’t go wrong with these, in my opinion. They appear to be well-made. To summarize,
