LED vapor tight lights are a professional grade solution to the many challenging environments requiring illumination. Ideal locations to fully utilize an LED vapor tight are areas where water, steam, or elements may cause damage to the fixture and LEDs over time. Suitable locations for vapor tight LED lighting include car washes, food distribution centers, refrigerators, parking structures, and similar type applications. The clamp-down cover provides a “vapor tight” seal so corrosive elements do not harm the fixture over the long term. Using LEDs inside also increases the life expectancy of the fixture which lowers energy and maintenance costs over the long haul.
Vapor tight fixtures are a favorite amongst electricians and builders due to their utility and cost savings. Additionally, end users may benefit from local or state rebates which lowers the overall cost of installation and materials. These fixtures are also paired often with PIR or Microwave motion sensors to provide better lighting control and reduce energy consumption when applicable. Emergency batter back ups are also recommended when using these fixtures. In scenarios when perishable items are being stored in wet location it can help reduce waste causing outages.
The most common color temperature used with vapor tight light fixtures is 5000K and often times (especially in grocery stores) high CRI is preferred due to the higher quality color used in display.

“These fixtures are built well, very good quality. We saw some reviews online about similar fixtures being a bit flimsy, once you get these mounted they’re very sturdy. . I used a total of 13 lights, and it was sufficient for the 1800 sq ft bulding.
We did have one defective bulb that appeared to be damaged during the shipping process, Viribright replaced this defective bulb right away after contacting their customer support.”

“The fixture puts out excellent light, price is fair. Service with the company is excellent.
We had a problem with short shipping. I emailed the Viribright customer support people and they handled the situation right away and very professional.
Initial installation was easy.
I plan on ordering more of these for future projects, our customer seem to like them so far.
I am very pleased with the prodcuts quality and the company, they are very professional.”

Great product for the price. Very bright and great light distribution. More than enough light in the 25 x 20 garage.

“Installed one of the 5k variety, and so far I’m impressed. Very good lighting and particularly strong value for what I paid.
The mounting brackets are not terribly robust-looking, but the fixture is very light, so drywall anchors would work in a pinch (and they include some with the fixture).
I used a 16 AWG bulk PVC-jacketed wire I picked up from the hardware store. You need three conductors to wire this light: hot, neutral, and ground; same goes for daisy-chaining to other lights. The housing has a strain relief which locks the wire in place securely. Then I terminated it into a standard 5-15 NEMA plug and plugged it in to a motion-sensor controlled outlet in my garage.
The light is nicely diffused by the housing, so it lights evenly and without the harshness you sometimes find with LEDs.”

Works great! Have it in my shop and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Hard wiring in lighting is not as intimidating as it sounds. Just be sure to do your research and be careful cause it is dangerous if your not well informed.

I just put up six of these in my garage to provide sufficient light for detailing cars. They are incredibly easy to wire and daisy-chain. Mounting them is literally a snap. Mount the brackets to the ceiling and snap the light fixture in. Light output is good. I have a couple other LED work lights with a more transparent cover. Those put out more light. The cloudy translucent cover on these diffuses the light more. It’s still plenty bright and I wouldn’t pay twice as much to buy more of the other fixtures.

This light is awesome! Talk about bright! Just one of these lights will replace at least 4 standard 4 ft flourescent lamps! And they will be bright as daylight! I already installed 2 in my garage, and will be ordering more to replace the flourescent lights in my 1200 sq ft shop! No more dim lights, no more flickering, and at a considerable $$ savings on the electric bill!
